Prior to the greyhounds entering the track, the lead of Kurtis Pandora broke, enabling the greyhound to become lose and subsequently travelled a distance to where it caught the stationary lure. As a result, Kurtis Pandora spent some time on the lure until it was captured. Kurtis Pandora was vetted by the On-Course Track Veterinarian and was found to have an elevated heart rate. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards withdrew Kurtis Pandora at 3.40PM acting on Vet's Advice. Stewards also took into account the length of time Kurtis Pandora had spent on ther lure which may have given the greyhound an unfair advantage. 

The start of this race was delayed by approximately three minutes.

Just Lovin' It and Dashing Pedro collided soon after the start, checking Dashing Pedro.  Burning Eddy and Dashing Pedro collided on the first turn.  Work Zone galloped on the heels of Elegant Malt on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Brian Harold and Just Lovin' It collided approaching the home turn, checking Just Lovin' It.  Just Lovin' It checked off Elegant Malt entering the home straight.

Stewards inspected the lead of handler of Ms.J. Spruyt and found that the D buckle had broken. As a result Stewards took no action against Ms. J. Spruyt.

Kraken Pat was quick to begin.  Apache Chaz was slow to begin.  Lektra Swank and Atarah raced wide on the home turn. Kraken Pat galloped on the heels of Lektra Swank approaching the winning post, checking Lektra Swank. 

Lektra Swank which collided with another runner and fell in the catching pen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the radius and ulna. Lektra Swank was humanely euthanased.

Steve's Uggboot and Ominous Warning collided soon after the start, checking Steve's Uggboot.  Kraken Tex and Go Natalie Go collided approaching the first turn, checking Kraken Tex.  Subconscious, Kraken Tex and Nalani collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Flash Angel checked off Wally Milne on the first turn, checking Go Natalie Go.  Go Natalie Go and Nalani collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Go Natalie Go checked off Kraken Tex in the home straight.

Lucina Motief – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Horsham for unsatisfactory performance.  Weighing 28.9 kgs and beginning from box eight, Lucina Motief completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:962.  Lucina Motief placed fourth in a field of four beaten by 9.5 lengths.  Lucina Motief has been not cleared to race (unsatisfactory performance).
