Steward's Report
Gotta Exceed and Gotta Place were slow to begin. Aston Vino, Cast and Indoctrinated collided soon after the start checking Cast. Fletcher Jay, Aston Vino, Indoctrinated and Paganini collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Vino and Indoctrinated. Paganini and Fletcher Jay collided approaching the first turn checking Fletcher Jay. Cast, Indoctrinated and Aston Vino collided on the first turn. Paganini and Gamer Girl collided on the first turn. Indoctrinated and Aston Vino collided approaching the home turn. Gamer Girl visibly eased approaching the home turn and lost ground. Indoctrinated visibly eased approaching the home turn and raced wide checking Aston Vino. Fletcher Jay raced wide in the home straight.
Indoctrinated underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain, stopper bone soreness and a right pencil injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr S Van Oirschot, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Indoctrinated was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr S Van Oirschot pleaded guilty to the charge, Indoctrinated must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Gamer Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
