Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr E. Dollery, the trainer of Bruree Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bruree Boy last raced on 9th November, 2018. Mr Dollery stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a spell.

Zipping Cisco was a late scratching at 11.43am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bruree Boy and Nice Surprise were slow to begin.

Lyria and Mt. View Gift collided soon after the start checking Mt. View Gift. Soda Ez checked off Taking Off at the 250m mark and crossed to the outside. Lyria and Taking Off collided at the 200m mark. Soda Ezy and Nice Surprise collided several times approaching the 150m mark. Lyria and Taking Off collided at the approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark. Aunty Chris eased approaching the winning post. 

Soda Ezy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Robinson, the trainer of the greyhound Aunty Chris regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Aunty Chris with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Robinson pleaded guilty to the charge, Aunty Chris was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
