In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this event was deemed Heat Affected.  The outside temperature prior to this event was 26.6 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to this event when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.6 degrees.

Whiter Shade was quick to begin.

Oster Bale checked off White Shade on the first turn.  Dreamy Eyes and White Shade collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Fran Bale and Dreamy Eyes collided approaching the second turn severely checking Dreamy Eyes.  Fran Bale and Whiter Shade collided approaching the second turn severely checking Whiter Shade.  Fran Bale and Rock Like Jagger collided on the second turn severely checking Rock Like Jagger.  Flash Fernando checked off Dreamy Eyes on the second turn.

Dewana Help Me, Blue Hazard, Frankie Moss and Turanza Tiger were slow to begin.

Orina Allen and Amoureuse collided soon after the start checking Amoureuse and Franki Jay.  Blue Hazard and Amoureuse collided on the first turn.  Dewana Help Me and Amoureuse collided on the second turn and again approaching the third turn checking Dewana Help Me.  Franki Jay checked off Blue Hazard on the home turn.  Amoureuse and Turanza Tiger collided approaching the winning post.

Dyna Yappy and Lonesomeness collided soon after the start checking Lonesomeness.  Knocker's Gold and Dyna Aakil collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Aakil, Knocker's Gold, Mitch Bale and Indigenous Lee collided approaching the first turn.  Indigenous Lee and Mitch Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Mitch Bale.  Indigenous Lee and Knocker's Gold collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Knocker's Gold.  Lonesomeness, Dyna Aakil and Dyna Bryleigh collided on the first turn checking Dyna Bryleigh.  Indigenous Lee and Dyna Aakil collided approaching the second turn.  Indigenous Lee brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.

Cool Coco, Dewana Jayden and Celestial Jewel collided soon after the start.  Tampico and My Reflection collided on the first turn.  Undenied Access and Cool Coco collided entering the front straight.  Undenied Access and Dewana Jayden collided on the second turn and again approaching the third turn checking Undenied Access which collided with Celestial Jewel.  Undenied Access and Celestial Jewel collided on the third turn checking Celestial Jewel.

Tempered was quick to begin.  Gendarme was slow to begin.

Dyna Saurus and Gendarme collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Go Slow Goldy and Hot Cruiser collided approaching the first turn checking Hot Cruiser.  Hot Cruiser checked off Cruising Betty on the first turn.  Dyna Saurus and Hot Cruiser collided several times from the first turn to the second turn checking both greyhounds checking Gendarme as a result.  Gendarme and Hot Cruiser collided approaching the third turn checking Hot Cruiser.  Cruising Betty and Blockette collided on the third turn checking Cruising Betty.  Dyna Saurus and One Step Forward collided in the home straight.

Hot Cruiser was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right chest muscle injury and a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Slingshot Jayla.

Happy Tails and Slingshot Jayla collided on the first turn.  Spyfection checked off El Grand Knocka on the first turn and collided with Slingshot Jayla, checking Slingshot Jayla.  Spyfection and Slingshot Jayla collided on the second turn checking Spyfection.  Another Bling and Mayhem Breeze collided on the home turn checking Mayhem Breeze.  

Zipping Bolt was slow to begin.

Streak Ahead and Wynburn Lucifer collided soon after the start.  Moresby, Diamond Bling, Coffee Scroll and Chill Out Chris collided on the first turn checking Midnight Titan, Diamond Bling, Coffee Scroll severely checking Chill Out Chris, Streak Ahead, Wynburn Lucifer and Zipping Bolt which raced wide.  Streak Ahead checked off Chill out Chris on the second turn.

Quip Allen crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dyna Garner.  Quip Allen checked off Scott To Give on the first turn.

Dyna Benny was a late scratching at 12:40pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mr Craig Treherne was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers were produced for the greyhound Callum's Son pursuant to GAR 33.

Callum's Son and Kiss Me Razley collided soon after the start.  Dyna Helena crossed to the rail approaching the first turn.  Kiss Me Razley and New Samsation collided on the first turn checking Kiss Me Razley.  New Samsation galloped on Kiss Me Razley in the back straight.  Callum's Son checked off Dyna Helena on the home turn.

Murray Mojito crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Dee Dee One and Miss Dee Meadows collided on the first turn.  Destini Cavalier and Clovally Granite collided on the second turn checking Clovally Granite.  Dewana Special, Murray Mojito and Miss Dee Meadows collided in the home straight checking Murray Mojito.
