Aston Kah and Kraken Champ collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Kah and Tiki Monteya collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Miss Firebird crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Good Work Johnny.

Zero To Hero was slow to begin.

Gray Grey Goose and Be Seeing You collided approaching the first turn checking Be Seeing you. Custom Made, Gray Grey Goose and Kraken Doll collided on the first turn checking Custom Made, Gray Grey Goose and Be Seeing You. Custom Made and Be Seeing You collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Zero To Hero raced wide on the home turn. Gray Grey Goose galloped on the heels of Kraken Doll in the home straight checking Kraken Doll. Be Seeing You and Custom Made collided in the home straight.

Custom Made was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miss Vermeer was very slow to begin (3L).

Miss Terindah, Tasvilla, Black Ice and Punt Road Girl collided on the first turn checking Tasvilla and Punt Road Girl and severely checking Black Ice. Sacre Bleu and Outrage collided on the second turn. Tasvilla and Miss Vermeer collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Miss Vermeer contacted the running rail on the second turn, checking Black Ice. Miss Vermeer fell as a result. Punt Road Girl raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight. Miss Terindah and Outrage collided in the home straight. Fabrebab failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.

Miss Vermeer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left radius/ulna fracture and a laceration to the left leg. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Fabrebab was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the rightshoulder, left fan muscle and both groin muscles. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Debattista, the trainer of the greyhound Fabrebab regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Fabrebab with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Fabrebab was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Done It Again engaged in this event on 20th February 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Hardaway Winnie, Vamoosh, Midnight Bling, Cheeky Chimp and No Vacancy collided soon after the start checking Vamoosh, Midnight Bling, Cheeky Chimp and No Vacancy. Vamoosh checked off No Vacancy on the first turn. Vamoosh contacted the running rail on the first turn severely checking Midnight Bling. Vamoosh fell as a result. Cheeky Chimp checked off Done It Again approaching the home turn. Early Promise and Done It Again collided in the home straight.

Vamoosh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right side of the face, right hind toes, right side of the pelvis, right side of the neck and right foreleg. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Dewana Jayden was slow to begin.

Go Gettem Bingo, and Kraken Bam Bam collided on the first turn checking Kraken Bam Bam. Manhattan Man faltered on the second turn and lost ground as a result. Kraken Bam Bam galloped on Dewana Jayden approaching the home turn checking Dewana Jayden. Kraken Bam Bam was held up for a run approaching the home turn.

Manhattan Man was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Gotta Bandit was slow to begin.

Poor Old Frank, Gotta Bandit, Cavatron and Kiss Me Nicki collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Kiss Me Nicki checked off Spider Regis approaching the home turn checking Cavatron.

Secret Business was quick to begin.

Dat Dat Daty, Wolf Point and Secret Business collided soon after the start checking Wolf Point and Secret Business. Mr. Cashway checked off Midnight Memphis approaching the first turn checking Mr. Cashway. Zipping Spud and Midnight Memphis collided on the first turn checking Midnight Memphis. Midnight Memphis crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Zipping Spud and Mr. Cashway. Mr. Cashway raced wide entering the home straight. Dat Dat Daty and Secret Business collided in the home straight.

Cruisy's Rose was slow to begin.

Rajasthan and Aston Joyner collided soon after the start. Cruisy's Rose checked off Rajasthan on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Rajatsthan and Aston Joyner collided on the home turn. Disgruntled and Aston Joyner collided entering the home straight.

Ready And Armed was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Mitchell, the handler of Ready and Armed regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations. Mr. Mitchell stated that Ready and Armed failed to run the distance in today's event. He added Ready and Armed's performance was consistent with its recent form and he didn't expect Ready and Armed to be short in the market. Stewards noted his explanation and took no further action.

Magic Lantern and Miss Travers collided soon after the start checking Miss Travers. Jerra Lilly and Chiseller collided on the first turn checking Jerra Lilly, How High Jazz and Pietra Allen. Chiseller galloped on the heels of Tiggy Buzzard approaching the home turn checking Chiseller. Chiseller and Tiggy Buzzard collided approaching the home turn checking Chiseller. How High Jazz raced wide on the home turn. Chiseller crossed to the outside on the home turn. Pietra Allen checked off How High Jazz in the home straight. Miss Travers and Pietra Allen collided several times on the home turn. Tiggy Buzzard, Miss Travers and How Hogh Jazz collided approaching the winning post.

How High Jazz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder joint injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Slingshot Storm was slow to begin.

Runnin' Rampage crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ride High. Winlock Ludacris and I'm All One collided approaching the home turn checking I'm All One, Black Treasure, Ride High and Magic Jet. Black Treasue and Ride High collided on the home turn.

Topaz Warrior, Murray Mojito, Kraken Greta and Pyrenees Inferno were slow to begin.

Midnight Storm crossed to the rail on the first turn. Seabrook Gem and Topaz Warrior collided on the first turn checking Topaz Warrior. Undeniably and Cinnamon Rose collided entering the back straight. Kraken Greta and Pyrenees Inferno collided entering the back straight. Kraken Greta raced wide in the back straight. Undeniably and Cinnamon Rose collided on the second turn checking Cinnamon Rose and Kraken Greta. Murray Mojito checked off Midnight Storm approaching the home turn checking Murray Mojito, Topaz Warrior, Kraken Greta and Cinnamon Rose. Kraken Greta raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Debattista, the trainer of Aston Ando regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Aston Ando last raced on the 6th of November, 2018. Mr. Debattista stated that Aston Ando is returning to racing from a spell. 

Moonquake and Red Hot Chance were slow to begin.

Titanium Bolt crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Spring Shower, Moonquake and Red Hot Chance. Schusta and Titanium Bolt raced wide on the home turn.

Moonquake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind paw. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chill Out Indy trialled over the 425mt from box 5, weight 30.6kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.62, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25L. Chill Out Indy was cleared.
