Steward's Report
Charlie Cockatoo was quick to begin. Miss Pocket Aces was slow to begin.
Extreme Summer crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Weeona Bont. Precious Sal, Lektra Caution and Pagan Dancer collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Caution. Precious Sal and Pagan Dancer collided approaching the first turn checking Pagan Dancer. Pagan Dancer and Weeona Bont collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lektra Caution checked off Weeona Bont on the first turn. Precious Sal, Miss Pocket Aces and Blistering collided on the first turn. Precious Sal and Blistering collided entering the back straight. Extreme Summer and Blistering collided approaching the home turn. Precious Sal checked off Weeona Bont on the home turn.
Blistering was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr W. Vassallo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners near the winning post. Stewards were satisfied that Blistering turned its head inwards just past the winning post and as such took no further action.
