Steward's Report

She Will Bloom, Celestial Jewel and Mossy Girl were quick to begin.  Cabin Fever, Zipping Bolt and Faraday were slow to begin.

Celestial Jewel and Mossy Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Cabin Fever and Lady Bang Bang collided approaching the first turn.  Celestial Jewel checked off Mossy Girl approaching the second turn.  Celestial Jewel and Faraday collided approaching the second turn. Cabin Fever marred Zipping Bolt in the home straight.

Cabin Fever was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right deltoid injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Pell, the trainer of Cabin Fever regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Cabin Fever with marring. Mr Pell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cabin Fever was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
