Akina Archer and Akina Blaze were slow to begin.  Hird From Bucks stumbled soon after the start and lost ground.  Once A Secret checked off Aston Kenji soon after the start.  Lakeview Lacy and Aston Kenji collided approaching the first turn.  Lakeview Lacy and Aston Kenji collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Lacy and Once A Secret.  Akina Blaze checked off Ado Carr on the first turn.  Hird From Bucks checked off Once A Secret on the first turn.  Ado Carr  galloped on Whodat Dare on the first turn checking both greyhounds; Whodat Dare lost ground as a result.  Ado Carr, Hird From Bucks and Whodat Dare collided approaching the winning post.

Whodat Dare was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion to the left achilles.  No stand down period was imposed.

Trophy Trophy, Soda Maxi and Dr. Mianda were quick to begin.  Akina Error, Spolly's Jet, Hot Pies and Underworld Rama were slow to begin.  Unsound Mind checked off Trophy Trophy soon after the start checking Soda Maxi.  Unsound Mind checked off Dr. Mianda on the first turn checking Unsound Mind, Soda Maxi, Akina Error and Spolly's Jet.  Akina Error clipped the heels of Unsound Mind entering the home straight.  Unsound Mind and Underworld Rama collided in the home straight.

Jebrynah Helios was quick to begin.  Victory Post was slow to begin.  Velocity Dory and Priority Pass collided on the first turn checking Priority Pass.  Priority Pass and Natural Cruiser collided on the first turn checking Priority Pass.  Airly Spence and Natural Cruiser collided several times approaching the home turn.  Airly Spence, Priority Pass and Natural Cruiser collided on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Airly With Grace.

Duke Of Airly and Curt Lee were quick to begin.  Sight To See was slow to begin.  Sight To See eased approaching the first turn.  Sight To See checked off Minter Bee Star on the first turn.  Riddles and Airly With Grace collided on the first turn checking Airly With Grace.  Duke Of Airly galloped on Curt Lee on the first turn.

Sight To See was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Presutto, the trainer of the greyhound Sight To See regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Sight To See with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Presutto pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sight To See was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks),  pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jeda's Girl was quick to begin.  Straitline Willy, Swift Gem and Macalister Mac were slow to begin.  Straitline Willy stumbled soon after the start.  Pocket Dial and Swift Gem collided on the first turn.  Jeda's Girl, Wadelock Mindy and Macalister Mac collided on the first turn checking Wadelock Mindy and Macalister Mac.  Pocket Dial and Wadelock Mindy collided on the second turn.  Jeda's Girl and Macalister Mac collided approaching the home turn.  Straitline Willy, Jeda's Girl and Macalister Mac collided on the home turn checking Jeda's Girl and Macalister Mac.  Wadelock Mindy raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Red Hot Attitude - the winner of the event.

Brandeen Fi was slow to begin.  Allen Gerwen and Rose Rose collided on the first turn checking Allen Gerwen.

A pre-race sample was taken from Okay Kirsty.

Alta Linea was slow to begin.  River Crossing and Doc's Reward collided on the first turn checking Doc's Reward.  River Crossing and Okay Kirsty collided entering the back straight.  River Crossing checked off Dava Supreme approaching the second turn; River Crossing stumbled as a result.  Alta Linea checked off Dava Supreme approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Beau Gem, Mr. John Connor regarding the greyhound's improved performance this evening.  Mr. Connor stated that with the greyhound being drawn near the inside, with a smaller field and the greyhound obtaining a clear run, it was able to perform to the best of it's ability. Stewards accepted his explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Notorious Mac and Dr. Mino were slow to begin.  Destini Trucker clipped the heels of Joe's Dolly on the first turn.  Joe's Dolly clipped the heels of Tito Mojito on the first turn and lost ground.  Notorious Mac and Dr. Mino collided on the first turn.  Joe's Dolly and Dr. Mino collided approaching the home turn.

Joe's Dolly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a mild diaphragmatic Flutter (Thumps).  No stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Billy was quick to begin.  Ishmy Barry was slow to begin.  Ninetymile Turbo, Street Outlaw and Rickett's Point collided approaching the first turn checking Ninetymile Turbo and Rickett's Point.

Merchant Prince was slow to begin.  Cross Threaded and Velocity Whisper collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Cross Threaded checked off Dream Gem on the first turn.  Dream Gem checked off Mars Rising on the first turn.  Dr. Summer checked off Mars Rising on the first turn checking Dream Gem.  Merchant Prince and Mars Rising collided on the first turn.  Cross Threaded and Merchant Prince collided in the home straight.

Heard It Before was quick to begin.  Big Brute was slow to begin.  Takaho Tiger, Heard It Before and Dr. Shreds collided on the first turn checking Takaho Tiger and Dr. Shreds severely checking Heard It Before.  Dr. Shreds checked off Takaho Tiger on the first turn.  Heard It Before  checked off Dr. Shreds on the first turn.

Select All and Belleperi Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Krypto Jam and Ruby's Cheekstar collided on the first turn.  Wadelock Venus and Krypto Jam collided on the first turn checking Wadelock Venus which lost ground.  Select All checked off Krypto Jam on the first turn checking Belleperi Miss and Beanology. Beanology checked off Belleperi Miss on the first turn. Select All checked off Krypto Jam approaching the home turn.

Wadelock Venus was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Michael Clohesy, the trainer of Wadelock Venus after he removed the greyhound from the kennels without authorisation from the Stewards (GAR 42 (2))

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Catcha Nugget trialled over 440m from box 8,  weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 24.91,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.25 lengths.  Catcha Nugget was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Tyche Diamond trialled over 440m from box 6, weight 29.6kgs,  the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 24.91,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a head. Tyche Diamond was Cleared.
