In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, today's meeting was declared Hot Weather Affected. At the commencement of kennelling the outside temperature was 15.5 degrees and the inside kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.

The outside temperature at race start time was 21.8 degrees and the inside kennel temperature when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.2 degrees.

Gnal Gnal Girl and Only Wish were slow to begin.

Hawesome crossed to the outside soon after the start. Only Wish and Gin Lee's Joe collided soon after the start. Figure Eight and Hopeful collided at the 250m mark. Gnal Gnal Girl and Hopeful collided at the 150m mark and again at the 50m mark checking Gnal Gnal Girl..

Stewards spoke to Mr David Millard, the handler of Hawesome after he had difficulty removing the collar and lead from the greyhound at the boxes. Stewards took into account that Mr Millard is an inexperienced handler and on this occasion issued him with a warning.

House Of Luck was slow to begin.

Tex Kingdom and Mumma's Bear collided soon after the start. Blonde Bella checked off Tex Kingdom at the 250m mark. Tex Kingdom, Mumma's Bear and Disco Norm collided at the 200m mark checking Mumma's Bear and Disco Norm. Meehan Pebbles, Mumma's Bear and Disco Norm collided at the 150m mark checking Meehan Pebbles, Mumma's Bear and Tex Kingdom. Mumma's Bear and Disco Norm collided at the 100m mark. Superstar Jessie and House Of Luck collided at the 50m mark checking House Of Luck and Blonde Bella.

Early Storm was slow to begin.

Alfie's Affair and Rockin' In collided several times from the 175m mark to the 100m mark.

Mrs Jennifer Torr, the representative for All Bling declared a new weight of 35.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). All Bling last raced at 34.3kgs.

The outside temperature at race start time was 25.6 degrees and the inside kennel temperature when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.4 degrees

All Bling and Undetectable were slow to begin.

Runnin' Royalty stumbled soon after the start. Maggie Mikado and Destini Radar collided at the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Superior Primo and Runnin' Royalty collided at the 150m mark. Maggie Mikado and Undetectable collided approaching the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. Superior Primo and Runnin' Royalty collided at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.

Runnin' Royalty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained neck soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lightning Parade and Billy's Missile were slow to begin.

Why Not Senor and Going In Style collided soon after the start. Billy's Missile contacted the running rail at the 150m mark. Why Not Senor and Going In Style collided at the 100m mark.

Billy's Missile was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Galea, the representative for Got It Right regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Got It Right last raced on 30 October 2018 and is returning to racing following a right hind toe injury.

Supraspinatus was a late scratching at 10:29am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Kathryne Tabb was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bourbon An Kahn. 

Bourbon An Kahn was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.

Got It Right and Broadway Polka collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Mepunga Giant and Got It Right collided at the 200m mark. She's My Blast checked off Bourbon An Kahn at the 150m mark.

Maverick Typhoon was a late scratching at 10:39am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr M. Cartechini, was fined the sum of $100.

Sedaka was slow to begin.

Precious Metal and Cee Jay Ace collided at the 250m mark. Precious Metal, Cee Jay Ace and Nut And Bolt collided at the 200m mark. Precious Metal checked off Nut And Bolt at the 175m mark.

Superior Faith and Bloke's Advice collided soon after the start. Superior Sam and Bloke's Advice collided at the 300m mark checking Dam The Man and Superior Sam. Deano's Mojo and Amanda Lee collided at the 150m mark. Deano's Mojo and Bloke's Advice collided at the 150m mark.

A sample was taken from Hungry An' Hollo - the winner of the event. 

Meehan Blue and Temporalis collided soon after the start. Railway Burra checked off Temporalis at the 250m mark. Meehan Blue, Temporalis and White Cynder collided approaching the 200m mark checking all three greyhounds. Meehan Blue and Temporalis collided at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Ms Mr Colin Brennan, the representative for Furtado regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Furtado last raced on 31 August 2018 and is returning to racing after being on season. 

Piriformis was slow to begin.

Chloe Crumpet and Property Power collided approaching the 150m mark. Piriformis checked off Maverick Bob approaching the winning post checking Property Power.

Maverick Bob was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr M. Cartechini, the trainer of Maverick Bob regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Catching Pen Scanner, Ryan Johnson, did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Fruit Frames stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

Fruit Frames checked off Adala Boy at the 250m mark.

A sample was taken from Hot Jean - the winner of the event. Hot Jean was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a recurrent left hindleg split webbing, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Elsa.

Well Armed and Rube's Ablaze were slow to begin.

Tubark was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
