A pre-race sample was taken from Absolute Dream.
Stewards delayed 'all clear' for this event due to a technical issue with the semaphore board displaying race two. Stewards notified Tabcorp prior to giving 'all clear'.
Dyna Nelly, Jacobite Hammer and Hurricane Rose collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Nelly and Jacobite Hammer. Positive Gearing and Moraine Coco collided approaching the first turn, checking Moraine Coco and Neil's Girl. Greg's Choice, Positive Gearing and Hurricane Rose collided on the first turn, checking Hurricane Rose, Positive Gearing and Neil's Girl. Hurricane Rose and Neil's Girl collided approaching the home turn, checking Neil's Girl. Greg's Choice and Jacobite Hammer collided approaching the winning post.
Dyna Nelly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg shoulder joint injury, a three day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Andrea Gurry and acting under GAR 75 (1) Ms Gurry was advised to the report to the Stewards as soon as practical anything that might have affected the running of Dyna Nelly which was not noted by the Stewards during or immediately after the event.
