Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Eduardo Rose.
Seeka Moment was slow to begin. All Inn Taylor and Why Not Macca collided soon after the start checking Why Not Macca. Gunmetal Liam and Seeka Moment collided on the first turn checking Seeka Moment. Magic Trap crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sabjorn Bale. Eduardo Rose galloped on Magic Trap in the back straight. Gunmetal Liam and Magic Trap collided approaching the home turn. Magic Trap eased on the home turn and collided with Gunmetal Liam checking both greyhounds. Molly Spolly was checked off Magic Trap in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Salpigtidis the trainer of the greyhound Magic Trap regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Magic Trap was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Magic Trap with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Salpigtidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Trap was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
