Backin' Bully and Wolf Point were slow to begin.  Jimmy Vella, Bigtime Bruce and Blunderbuss collided on the first turn checking Bigtime Bruce and Blunderbuss.  Bigtime Bruce and Wolf Point collided in the back straight checking Bigtime Bruce.  Blackpool Doc and Able Bess collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R.Sullivan, the representative of Bluegrass Icon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bluegrass Icon last raced on 3 June 2018.  Mr..Sullivan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr. L.Sullivan did not act in any official capacity for this event.

El Diamonte was quick to begin.  Beanology, Walk Woody Walk and Gee Dalton were slow to begin.  Walk Woody Walk and Gee Dalton collided on the first turn checking Walk Woody Walk.  Beanology was checked off Gee Dalton on the first turn checking All About Arby.  Cookie Rose and Screaming Oaks collided in the back straight checking Cookie Rose.  Gee Dalton and Screaming Oaks collided in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Cookie Rose and Beanology collided on the second turn checking Cookie Rose and Walk Woody Walk and severely checking Beanology.  Gee Dalton and Screaming Oaks collided on the home turn.

Seeka Moment was slow to begin.  All Inn Taylor and Why Not Macca collided soon after the start checking Why Not Macca.  Gunmetal Liam and Seeka Moment collided on the first turn checking Seeka Moment.  Magic Trap crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sabjorn Bale.  Eduardo Rose galloped on Magic Trap in the back straight.  Gunmetal Liam and Magic Trap collided approaching the home turn.  Magic Trap eased on the home turn and collided with Gunmetal Liam checking both greyhounds.  Molly Spolly was checked off Magic Trap in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Salpigtidis the trainer of the greyhound Magic Trap regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Magic Trap was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Magic Trap with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Salpigtidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Trap was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Spazzy Blue was a late scratching at 1.29pm due to illness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Real Obsession was quick to begin.  Architecture, Zipping Boyd and Dyna Quail were slow to begin.  Akina Dee Jay and Ringside collided approaching the first turn checking Akina Dee Jay.  Zipping Boyd and Dyna Quail collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide throughout the event.

Sazana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left dew claw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
