High Tale was slow to begin.

Banjo's Power crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Vandebay. Banjo's Power and Good Move collided at the 300m mark. Bruree Boy and Superior Primo collided at the 300m mark. Vandebay checked off Banjo's Power at the 300m mark. Banjo"s Power and Good Move collided at the 250m mark. Glayva and Superior Primo collided at the 150m mark. Banjo’s Power and Good Move collided approaching the 50m mark. Banjo's Power checked off Good Move at the 50m mark. Banjo's Power eased at the 50m mark. Bruree Boy checked off Superior Primo approaching the winning post.

Banjo's Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hindleg quadricep, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr F.Rachele, the trainer of the greyhound Banjo's Power regarding the greyhounds racing manners during the event. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Banjo's Power with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr F. Rachele pleaded not guilty to the charge. Banjo’s Power was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound performs a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
