Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Splendamiro.
Sashay was quick to begin. Immen Bale was slow to begin.
Wise Piquet crossed in approaching the first turn checking Aston Dinnigan and Vital Force. Sashay, Zipping Sassy, Shadale and Miss Splendamiro collided on the first turn checking Zipping Sassy and Shadale. Wise Piquet and Vital Force collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Vital Force checked off Immen Bale on the second turn. Wise Piquet checked off Zipping Sassy in the back straight. Wise Piquet and Immen Bale collided on the third turn checking Immen Bale and Vital Force. Aston Dinnigan checked off Sashay entering the home straight. Zipping Sassy failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Rounds the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Sassy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Zipping Sassy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zipping Sassy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Rounds pleaded not guilty to the charge, Zipping Sassy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
