An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Uringa engaged in this event on 24 October 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Briganti after the greyhound Hot Tip was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Birganti was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure. 

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr B. Cooper after the greyhound Hot Tip was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Cooper was reminded of his responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Kulu Ozzie and Uringa were slow to begin.

Kulu Ozzie and Sharp Diamond collided soon after the start.  Caribbean Red and Undisputed collided soon after the start.  Sharp Diamond checked off Caribbean Red on the first turn.  Kulu Ozzie checked off Caribbean Red on the first turn.  Caribbean Red and Undisputed collided entering the front straight.  Undisputed and Rajasthan collided on the second turn and again approaching the third turn checking Rajasthan.  Kulu Ozzie and Hot Tip collided approaching the third turn.  Rajasthan galloped on Uringa entering the back straight severely checking both greyhounds.  Hot Tip checked off Uringa in the back straight.  Sharp Diamond and Uringa collided approaching the fourth turn checking Uringa.  Rajastahn checked off Hot Tip on the fourth turn.  

Rajasthan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right monkey, right deltoid and right shoulder soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Uriunga was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left monkey soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
