A pre-race sample was taken from Audacious Poppy.
Stirling Defence, Riviera Cruz and Han Solo collided soon after the strat. Blusain Bolt, Dyna Carmen, Audacious Poppy and Han Solo collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Carmen and Han Solo. Dyna Alia crossed to the rails on the first turn, checking Riviera Cruz, Audacious Poppy, Stirling Defence, Dyna Carmen and Dewana Special and causing Han Solo to fall. Dyna Carmen and Stirling Defence collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Stirling Defence checked off Riviera Cruz on the home turn.
Audacious Poppy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metacarpal. No stand down period was imposed.
Han Solo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
