Steward's Report
Dyna Winter and Tijuana Icon was quick to begin. No Road, Qatar Girl and Roland View were slow to begin.
Dyna Winter and Tijuana Icon collided approaching the first turn, checking Tijuana Icon. No Road eased on the first turn, checking Qatar Girl. Tijuana Icon and Elusive Anakie collided approaching the home turn. No Road and Qatar Girl collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr Terry Burns, the representative for the greyhound No Road regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. No Road was vetted and re-vetted following event 9. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged No Road with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Burns pleaded not guilty to the charge, No Road was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
