Dyna Diode, Sailor Allen and Alcantara were slow to begin. Dyna Garner, Nicmac Paddywack and Sailor Allen collided soon after the start. Nicmac Paddywack checked off Dyna Garner approaching the first turn. Dyna Hannah, Dyna Gardner and Sailor Alllen collided on the first turn checking Dyna Garner. Kiewa River Run, Dyna Eleana and Sailor Allen collided on the first turn checking Dyna Eleana. Dyna Eleana checked off Sailor Allen on the first turn. Dyna Hannah checked off Dyna Eleana on the home turn. Nicmac Paddywack crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Alcantara. 

Alcantara was vetted following the event. It was reported that greyhound sustained split webbing to the left foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms N. McRae, the trainer of Fortnight regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Fortnight last raced on 1 July, 2018. Ms McRae stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after an operation to  remove hind toes. Ms N. McRae also declared a new weight of 29.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Fortnight last raced at 27.8kg.

Fortnight and Winlock Slim were quick to begin. Stagger Loot and Sneaky Pickle were slow to begin. Flying Smart and Fortnight collided approaching the first turn. Disco Hips and Jacobite Joseph collided approaching the first turn. Jacobite Joseph checked off Disco Hips approaching the first turn. Winlock Slim galloped on the heels of She's A Mitzi on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Sneaky Pickle and Jacobite Mitzi collided on the first turn. Disco Hips galloped on the heels of Winlock Slim on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Scott To Give engaged in this event on 9 October, 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Kraken Greta and Lily The Weapon were slow to begin. Mystery Jet, Scott To Give and Kiewa River Flo collided soon after the start checking Kiewa River Flo. Pride Of Oasis checked off Macs Model soon after the start. Kraken Greta checked off Scott To Give soon after the start. Lily The Weapon checked off Kraken Greta on the first turn. Lily The Weapon raced wide in the home straight.

Lily The Weapon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Go Slow Goldy, Moonquake and Welshman were quick to begin. Flying Apollo, Head Banger and Weetbix Mini collided soon after the start. Magic Jet and Moonquake collided approaching the first turn checking Moonquake. Moonquake and Welshman collided approaching the first turn. Magic Jet checked off Go Slow Goldy on the first turn.

Firefly Nuts and Rains It Pours collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Chum's Special and Mercedes Red collided on the first turn. Night King and Flying danger collided on the first turn. Chum's Special crossed to the outside on the home turn. Chum's Special and Rains It Pours raced wide in the home straight.

Champagne Luxe was quick to begin. Platelayer and Bear left were slow to begin. Platelayer and Bear Left collided soon after the start again approaching the first turn checking Platelayer and Billy Moran.

Go Commando was quick to begin. My Bro Lewis, Royal Solo and Full Of Weetbix collided soon after the start checking Royal Solo. My Bro Lewis and Miyagi Magic collided on the first turn. Royal Solo ran wide on the home turn. Full Of Weetbix, Miyagi Magic and Diego Fernando collided on the home turn. Blur and Go Commando collided in the home straight. Royal Solo raced wide in the home straight.

Dyna Winkler and Marlow's Angel were quick to begin. Dyna Winkler, Husky Beatle, Marlow's Angel, Winlock Strecker and Go Natalie Go collided approaching the first turn severely checking Dyna Wnkler, Rave On and Winlock Casper.

Eight Bells Toll and Miss Gypsy Lee were quick to begin. Mo Daniher and Billiluna collided soon after the start. Billiluna and Fawn Pursuit collided soon after the start. Fawn Pursuit, Perfect Rider and Eight Bells Toll collided on the first turn. Billiluna and Eight Bells Toll collided on the home turn.

Perfect Rider was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Senor Asher was a late scratching at 9.42am. Stewards Non Penalty.

Disco Lemonade was quick to begin. Stylish Chief, I'm All One and Noosa Jet collided soon after the start checking Noosa Jet. Circus Oasis, Bella Rhode, and Disco Lemonade collided on the first turn checking Bella Rhode and Disco Lemonade. Bella Rhode and Swoop ANd Pect collided approaching the home turn. Disco Lemonade and Bella Rhode collided on the home turn checking Bella Rhode. I'm All One and Disco Lemonade collided entering the home straight. Disco Lemonade and Swoop And Peck collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs J. Torr regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound I'm All One. Stewards directed that I'm All One be boxed first in future events.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D. Tiethowan, the handler of Jack Cherry regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Jack Cherry last raced on 18 October, 2018. D. Tiethowan stated that resuming racing after a left monkey and left hip injury Pursuant to GAR 77A, Jack Cherry trialled over the 390 from box 1, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 21.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Jack Cherry was Cleared.
