Bourbon An Kahn was slow to begin.
Mallard and Xan Mai collided approaching the 300m mark checking Samba King. Mallard and Samba King collided approaching the 300m mark. Mallard checked off Samba King at the 250m mark and as a result Mallard faltered and tailed the field. Bourbon An Kahn and To The Galo's collided several times from the 250m mark to the 200m mark. Chum's Special and Xan Mai collided at the 200m mark and again approaching the Winning Post.
Mallard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
