Steward's Report

Valhalla Girl was a late scratching at 1:55pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a papilloma to the right hind. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Moyarra Whiz and Prue Lace collided soon after the start checking Moyarra Wizz. Prue Lace, Moyarra Whiz and Chill Out Isla collided on the first turn. Catfish Fozz and Half Proven collided approaching the home turn. Moyarra Whiz and Chill Out Indy collided on the home turn and entering the home straight. Chill Out Indy failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post.

Chill Out Indi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left foreleg and right hind leg. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Chilcott, the trainer of the greyhound Chill Out Indi regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Chill Out Indi with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge,Chill Out Indi was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
