Steward's Report
Akina Moss was slow to begin. It's A Date and Akina Willow collided soon after the start. It's A Date and Nate's Awesome collided approaching the first turn checking It's A Date. Akina Willow faltered on the first turn. It's A Date faltered approaching the home turn. Macs Road, Crakalakin Caity and Nate's Awesome collided approaching the home turn severely checking Crakalakin Caity which stumbled and lost considerable ground.
Crakalakin Caity was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left shoulder and a laceration to the left hind toe, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
It's A Date was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right pencil and triangle muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Akina Willow was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion and swelling to the left carpal joint, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Rowley, the trainer of the greyhound Akina Willow. Stewards deemed the performance of Akina Willow unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Akina Willow must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
