Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Chivell , the trainer of Smudger Smiff regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Smudger Smiff last raced 2 April, 2018 and is returning to racing following a right stopper injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Aeroplane Hank.
Lanis Morris was slow to begin.
Scrumble and Smudger Smiff collided soon after the start. Smudger Smiff and Fiery Nell collided at the 250m mark. Fiery Nell checked off Scrumble at the 200m mark.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A + Whelping) - Stewards spoke to Mr Gordon Edwards, the trainer of Miss Pepperoni, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Pepperoni last raced on 11 March 2018. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Miss Pepperoni trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 25.7kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 16.63, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.75L. Miss Pepperoni was not cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Dapper Diesel trialled over the 300m from box seven, weight 36.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 16.63, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5L. Dapper Diesel was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - To The Galo's trialled over the 300m from box eight, weight 32.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of five. The time of the trial was 16.63, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75L. To The Galo's was cleared.
