Hurricane Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards established that Hurricane Rose turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Hurricane Rose was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Oshkosh Petra and Know Success were quick to begin.  Lektra Theory was slow to begin.  Ebby Lamar and Canyon County collided soon after the start, checking Canyon County.  Typhoon Nelly, Lucy's Quest and Roxy's Zork collided soon after the start, checking Roxy's Zork and Lektra Theory, and severely checking Lucy's Quest.  Know Success and Oshkosh Petra collided approaching the first turn, checking Oshkosh Petra.  Canyon County, Ebby Lamar and Typhoon Nelly collided approaching the first turn, checking Ebby Lamar and Typhoon Nelly.  Roxy's Zork raced  greenly on the first turn.  Ebby Lamar galloped on Typhoon Nelly approaching the home turn, checking Ebby Lamar and Lektra Theory.

Roxy's Zork was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucy's Quest was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Big Tilly and Speckie McKean were slow to begin.  Igniting Amy and Blackpool Remi collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Blackpool Remi checked off Poppy Yaala on the first turn.  Igniting Amy and Speckie McKean collided on the first turn.  Poppy Yaala checked off Dusky Dominance on the first turn.  Blackpool Remi checked off Poppy Yaala on the home turn.  Igniting Amy and Speckie McKean raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Fawn Regrets and Barcia Houdini were slow to begin.  Bush Blossom, Oshkosh Ruth and Seaside Shuffle collided soon after the start, checking Oskhosh Ruth.  Chapta Lee, Bush Blossom and Seaside Shuffle collided approaching the first turn, checking Bush Blossom.  Well Armed and Seaside Shuffle collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Well Armed, Oshkosh Ruth and Bush Blossom raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Cheryl Pirani, the handler of Riveting, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Riveting last raced on 29 April 2018 and is returning from a wrist injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr Damon Donnelly, the handler of Wise Ricciardo, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Wise Ricciardo last raced on 19 May 2018 and is returning from a back muscle injury.  Mr Donnelly also declared a new weight of 36.2 kgs for the greyhound who last raced at 35.1 kgs.

Blazing Lane was a late scratching at 10:40 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to illness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
