Pre-race samples were taken from Giant Jarvis and Rythym Taboo.
Sassy Slyder was quick to begin.
Sassy Slyder, Aston Sultan, Giant Jarvis and Rythym Taboo collided soon after the start checking Aston Sultan. Lightning Ben and Sassy Slyder collided approaching the first turn. Lightning Ben checked off Rythym Taboo on the first turn. Rythym Taboo faltered in the home straight. Rythym Taboo was vetted following the event.
It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Chilcott, the trainer of Rythym Taboo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Sassy Slyder, unplaced in the event.
