Steward's Report
Supplementary Advice: Of the 67 race-day samples taken at today’s meeting, a cross section (in type) of urine (50), blood (13) and hair (4) samples were taken.
Contravenes was a late scratching at 13:41 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an infection. A10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. J. McClelland trainer of Gotta Jump Start declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).Gotta Jump Start last raced at 26.0kg.
Pre-race samples were taken from Shakey Ellie and Ultimate Sugar upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Die Laughing.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Moyarra Whiz and a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Moyarra Whiz and Ultimate Sugar collided soon after the start. Ultimate Tank, Die Laughing and Zipping Chelse collided approaching the first turn. Moyarra Whiz clipped the heels of Ultimate Sugar approaching the first turn. Ultimate Tank and Die Laughing collided on the first turn checking Die Laughing. Moyarra Whiz galloped on the heels of Die Laughing entering the home straight. Ultimate Tank and Die Laughing collided in the home straight.
