Steward's Report

Jecinta was quick to begin.  Lady Bang Bang was slow to begin.  Jecinta failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at boxrise.  Jecinta and Jebrynah Helios collided approaching the first turn, checking Jecinta,Final Chimes checked of Lady Bang Bang Aproching the first turn checking Dundee Jive and severely checking Final Chimes which fell.  Jebrynah Hellios and Rock Johnson collided on the first turn.

Jecinta was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr David Knocker, the handler of the greyhound Jecinta, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at boxrise.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Jecinta with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Knocker, who declined a re-vet of the greyhound, pleaded guilty to the charge, Jecinta was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Final Chimes was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg thigh injury.  No stand down period was imposed.
