Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Repici, the trainer of the greyhound Farfalla Nera regarding the greyhounds's rise in distance to today's 699m event. Farfalla Nera last raced in a 440m event at Sale on 6 September 2018. Mr. Repici stated that the greyhound had been trialling well over 520 metres, and he was of the opinon that the greyhound was suited by the step up in disdance.
This event was manually started.
Our Mate Wilson, Bejarano and Sale Graze Bindi were slow to begin. Alexagal crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Bejarano, and severely checking Our Mate Wilson. Alexagal and Bejarano collided entering the front straight. Farfalla Nera checked off Coco Spectre in the front straight. Galloping Flash checked off Farfalla Nera approaching the fourth turn. Galloping Flash checked off Farfalla Nera entering the back straight. Alexagal checked off Galloping Flash in the back straight. Our Mate Wilson and Farfalla Nera collided on the home turn. Our Mate Wilson and Farfalla Nera tired in the home straight.
Our Mate Wilson was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
