Steward's Report
No Respect was quick to begin. Swahili Icon was slow to begin.
Mystery Jet and Swahili Icon collided soon after the start. No Respect, Tekidanto and Moyarra a Whiz collided approaching the first turn checking No Respect, Smash Williams and Swahili Icon and severely checking Tekidanto and Moyarra Whiz. No Respect checked off Jenjira on the first turn. Jenjira eased on the first turn, failed to pursue the lure with due commitment and pulled up. Smash Williams checked off Tekidanto approaching the home turn checking Moyarra Whiz.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the representative of the greyhound Jenjira regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Jenjira was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jenjira with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, Jenjira was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
