Cousin's Choice was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left pectineus (groin) and right tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr John Delaroche, the trainer of Cousin's Choice, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr David Basile, the trainer of the greyhound Manila Mist, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 250m mark and approaching both the 150m and 100m mark. Manila Mist was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left latissimus dorsi and right tensor fascia (triangle) muscles, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Manila Mist with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Basile pleaded guilty to the charge, Manila Mist was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Midnight Muscat upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Kelly, the trainer of Toby Sure, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Toby Sure last raced on 20 May 2018. Mr Kelly stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell.

Midnight Muscat crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Glascoe Sally and No Sugar. Puppet You Rippa and No Sugar collided at the 150m mark, checking No Sugar. Puppet You Rippa and Toby Sure collided at the 50m mark.
