Ethan Zane, Wild Vane and Janray Thunder were slow to begin.
Regal Duke, Janray Thunder and Don's Gas collided soon after the start. Ethan Zane, Wild Vane and Janray Thunder collided at the 250m mark. Janray Thunder checked off Regal Duke approaching the 200m mark, severely checking Janray Thunder. Wild Vane checked off Prue Lace at the 100m mark. Wild Vane and Prue Lace collided approaching the winning post.
Sweet Ambush was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and right tensor fascia (triangle) muscles, both pectineus (groin) muscles, and the right shoulder joint. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
