Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from All Spiced Up.
Aztec Warrior was slow to begin.
Aztec Warrior and Annaley Flash collided soon after the start. All Spiced Up lost ground at the 150m mark and subsequently collided with Nice Left Nath and Aztec Warrior. Ruby's Boy crossed to the rail at the 100m mark causing Winlock Homes to gallop on Ruby's Boy severely checking both greyhounds. Aztec Warrior and Annaley Flash collided approaching the winning post. Stinging Red eased and failed to pursue the lure with due committment approaching the winning post and lost ground.
Stinging Red was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr N. Mason declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr N. Mason, the trainer of the greyhound Stinging Red regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Stinging Red with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mason pleaded guilty to the charge, Stinging Red was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
All Spiced Up was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. McKenzie, the trainer of the greyhound All Spiced Up. Stewards deemed the performance of All Spiced Up unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that All Spiced Up must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
