Coyote was a late scratching at 7.53am due to an injury to the left hamstring (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Banyuatis was slow to begin. What Feeling was very slow to begin (3L).

Amber's Dolly crossed out soon after the start checking Mareth.

Emma Lakers was vetted following the event after Stewards noted the greyhound had an abrasion in the wash bay. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the bilateral stoppers.  No stand down period was imposed.

Aztec Warrior was slow to begin.

Aztec Warrior and Annaley Flash collided soon after the start. All Spiced Up lost ground at the 150m mark and subsequently collided with Nice Left Nath and Aztec Warrior. Ruby's Boy crossed to the rail at the 100m mark causing Winlock Homes to gallop on Ruby's Boy severely checking both greyhounds. Aztec Warrior and Annaley Flash collided approaching the winning post. Stinging Red eased and failed to pursue the lure with due committment approaching the winning post and lost ground.

Stinging Red was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr N. Mason declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Mason, the trainer of the greyhound Stinging Red regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Stinging Red with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mason pleaded guilty to the charge, Stinging Red was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Spiced Up was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. McKenzie, the trainer of the greyhound All Spiced Up. Stewards deemed the performance of All Spiced Up unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that All Spiced Up must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was a taken from Annaley Flash - the winner of the event.

Bruree Boy, No Recourse, Arachnophobia, Pay Up Jack and Whipdance collided soon after the start checking No Recourse and Arachnophobia. Bruree Boy crossed at the 300m mark checking Arachnophobia and Whipdance. Murrabit Benny crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark. Arachnophobia and Bruree Boy collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Donaldson regarding the slight delay in boxing his greyhound Arachnophobia. Mr Donaldson explained that the muzzle became wedged in the greyhounds mouth prior to boxing and needed adjusting. Stewards noted Mr Donaldson's explaination and took no further action.

Master Winslow was slow to begin.

Uncle Bump, Dancin' In and Cullquin Alexis collided at the 250m mark checking Dancin' In and Cullquin Alexis. Cullquin Alexis faltered at the 150m mark and lost considerable ground as a result. Billy Swagger checked off Miller's Court at the 100m mark and collided with Gin Lee's Pride.

Cullquin Alexis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left back muscle, left monkey and a right wrist sprain. A 60 day standown period was imposed.

Our China Plate and Azure Dragon were slow to begin.

Railway Burra checked off Amlin Freddie soon after the start and crossed to the outside checking Amlin Freddie and Little Women. Little Women and Miss Booming collided at the 300m mark. Our China Plate, Little Women, Tzar Knight and Miss Booming collided at the 200m mark checking Little Women and Miss Booming. Little Women and Miss Booming collided approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark. Our China Plate and Tzar Knight collided at the 150m mark.

Last Princess was a late scratching at 11.23am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to left hind split webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dashing Dino and Don's Just Under were slow to begin.

Quando Quando crossed out at the 300m mark. My Fernando Tim checked off Striker Vardy at the 300m mark. Fifty Dollar checked off Striker Vardy at the 250m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr C. Russell and issued him with a warning regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to prepare the greyhound Jumbo Bale for racing, pursuant to GAR 46(1).

Vane Power and Splash Da Cash were slow to begin.

Eggeb Mai and Raloo Barbara collided approaching the 200m mark. Here's Tiger, Eggeb Mai and Raloo Barbara collided at the 200m mark and again approaching the 150m mark checking Here's Tiger.

Further Dreamer was slow to begin.

Sin and Spin, Black In Town and Miss Luna Girl collided soon after the start checking Black In Town and Miss Luna Girl. Springinator and Eye Dunno collided soon after the start. Eye Dunno checked off Sin And Spin at the 250m mark and crossed out checking Black In Town and Master Brett. Springinator checked off Master Brett approaching the 150m mark and crossed out checking Eye Dunno. Further Dreamer galloped on Sin And Spin at the 150m mark checking Further Dreamer. Springinator and Black In Town collided at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.

Big Kenny Bobo stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

Don's Machine, Porscha's Girl and Bolare collided at the 250m mark. Uncatchable and Miss Legality collided at the 200m mark. Don's Machine, Porscha's Girl and Bolare collided at the 150m mark. Porscha’s Girl and Bolare collided at the 50m mark.

Zipping Stan, Pop Do It and Ha Ha Gotcha were slow to begin.

Pharoah's Dream crossed out at the 200m mark. Zipping Stan, Speedway Lass and Cersei collided approaching the 50m mark. Tana's Angel and Cersei collided approaching the winning post.

A pre race sample was taken from Two Seasons.

Just Blacky checked off Hit 'N' Split at the 250m mark. Hard Boiled and Rube's Ablaze collided at the 250m mark. Boston You Essay faltered at the 150m mark and lost considerable ground as a result. Hard Boiled and Rube's Ablaze collided at the 150m mark.

Boston You Essay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D. Paterno, the trainer of Secret Witness regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Secret Witness last raced on 16th April, 2018. Mr Paterno stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Secret Witness trialled over the 300m from box 8, weight 27.8kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.86, the greyhound won by a margin of 3L. Secret Witness was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Gnal Gnal Girl trialled over the 300m from box 3, weight 28.5kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.86, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 6L. Gnal Gnal Girl was Cleared.
