Stewards spoke to Mr V. Mileto, the trainer of Proven Legacy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Proven Legacy last raced on 23rd of August. Mr Mileto stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right hind toe injury.
My Names Rhonda was quick to begin. Ha Ha Gotcha was slow to begin. Red Lagoon and Rapana collided soon after the start. Unusable, Proven Legacy and Liscoyle Lass collided soon after the start. Rapana, Red Lagoon, liscoyle Lass, Proven Legacy and Unusable collided approaching the first turn checking Proven Legacy and Unusable. Ha Ha Gotcha and Red Lagoon collided on the first turn.
Unusable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Proven Legacy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the right hindleg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
