Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Elliot, the trainer of Knuckles Kerley, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Knuckles Kerley last raced on 4th July 2018. Mr Elliot stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right wrist injury.
A pre race sample was taken from Aeroplane Hank.
Ominous Warning and Winlock Intent were slow to begin.
Eureka Osti checked off Blank Page on the first turn checking Winlock Intent. Knuckles Kerley checked off Spin That Wheel on the first turn. Spin That Wheel checked off Ominous Warning approaching the home turn checking Eureka Osti. Knuckles Kerley checked off Winlock Intent on the home turn and collided with Spin That Wheel.
