A pre race sample was taken from Gotta Jump Start.
Thomeli Monster and Completed were slow to begin.
Rampant Doc shifted in soon after the start checking Yaritza Allen and Newtown Angel. Hawkie, Gotta Jump Start and Why Not Fletch collided soon after the start checking Gotta Jump Start. Rampant Doc and Yaritza Allen collided on the first turn checking Rampant Doc. Rampant Doc galloped on the heels of Why Not Fletch on the first turn checking Why Not Fletch and Yaritza Allen and causing Rampant Doc to fall. Completed and Newtown Angel collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Hawkie and Thomeli Monster collided on the home turn.
Completed was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hock, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Fisher, the handler of Completed, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
