Bushman's Destiny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toes and had cramping and moderate dehydration. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Boots regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Bushmans Destiny. Stewards directed that Bushmans Destiny be boxed first in future events.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards also directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Black Treasure trialled over the 425m from box 1, weight 27.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 24.42, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 6 L. Black Treasure was cleared to race in blinkers. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Atlas Anonymous trialled over the 425m from box 8, weight 36.5kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 24.42 the greyhound won by a margin of 6 L. Atlas Anonymous eased on the first turn and home turn and was not cleared.
