Steward's Report
Bally Beckham was a late scratching at 10:39 am, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Peter Sutcliffe was fined the sum of $100.
Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Armstrong, the trainer of Shi The One, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Abyssal last raced at Ballarat on 14 March 2018. Mr Armstrong stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right rear toe injury.
Master Brett, Gin Lee's Pride and Shi The One were slow to begin. Shi The One faltered at the 200m mark and tailed off. Courage Crest and Janray Squawker collided at the 200m mark. Courage Crest checked off Janray Squawker at the 100m mark.
Master Brett was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg chest muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Shi The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
