Steward's Report
Troy Boyce was a late scratching at 5.13am due to a foot injury (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke with trainer Mr Gavin Gledhill regarding the circumstances of the late scratching and noted his explanation.
A pre-race sample was taken from Emelia Mel.
Emilia Mel was slow to begin.
Hard Boiled faltered at the 250m mark, lost ground and subsequently tailed off. Cersei checked off Turfman at the 150m mark. Jockey Bale, All You Got and Turfman collided at the 50m mark.
Hard Boiled was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
