Ko Mai Si was a late scratching at 6.04AM due to a wrist injury (GAR 23).  A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke with trainer Ms Natalie Perkins regarding the circumstances of the late scratching and noted her explanation.

Stewards spoke to Mr Malcolm Carr, the trainer of Wyaxehi, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wyaxehi last raced on 19 April 2018. Mr Carr stated that the greyhound was resuming following a spell and change of kennel.

Monica's Joy, Shirdale Casey and Wyaxehi were slow to begin.

Nettie's Flame and Splash An' Dash collided soon after the start. Kip Moss and Nettie's Flame collided at the 300m mark, checking Kip Moss. Shirdale Casey checked off Splash An' Dash at the 200m mark. Monica's Joy and Wyaxehi collided approaching the winning post, checking Monica's Joy.

Bon Mic's Bullet was slow to begin.

Bon Mic's Bullet was vetted followed the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gracilis (back) muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Gary Cowcher, trainer of Mr. Swan declared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mr. Swan last raced at 33.9kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Gottsche, the trainer of Bubsy John, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bubsy John last raced on 4 March 2018. Mr. Gottsche stated that the greyhound was resuming from a front right stopper injury.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Mini Dozer; a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

The start time for this event was delayed by two minutes in order for ducks to be cleared from the track at the 50m mark.

Timeless Rose was slow to begin.

Bally Beckham and Where's Marcia collided soon after the start. Courage Crest and Tiger Cabang collided approaching the 200m mark. Courage Crest checked off Mini Dozer approaching the winning post.

Boston You Essay crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Like A Fancy. Perfect Rider and Boston You Essay collided at the 250m mark. Like A Fancy and Boston You Essay collided at the 200m mark. Tally Ho Billy and Senni Richard collided several times from the 100m mark to the 50m mark, checking both greyhounds.

Troy Boyce was a late scratching at 5.13am due to a foot injury (GAR 23).  A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Hard Boiled was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Adam Norris, trainer of Bella Rhode, declared a new weight of 28.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bella Rhode last raced at 26.9kg.

Just Blacky was slow to begin.

Nitro Heroine and Blue Squirrel collided soon after the start. Tron's Empire, Nitro Heroine, Campeon, Bella Rhode and Bloke's Advice collided soon after the start, checking Bella Rhode and Bloke's Advice. Just Black crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Blue Squirrel, Nitro Heroine, Tron's Empire and Campeon. Tiny Octane and Bloke's Advice raced tightly and collided at the 150m mark. Bloke's Advice checked off Tiny Octane approaching the winning post. Bella Rhode checked off Campeon approaching the winning post.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results - Run Maggie Run trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 26.2kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.10, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Run Maggie Run was cleared.
