Steward's Report
Uringa was a late scratching at 9.26AM due to injury (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Pocket Dial.
Ice Cold Yug, Zipping Boyd, Mepunga Bella and Pocket Dial collided soon after the start. Zipping Boyd checked off Mepunga Bella on the first turn. Pocket Dial and Snap Loch collided on the first turn, checking Snap Loch and causing Pocket Dial to race wide. Pattaya Paul checked off Ice Cold Yug approaching the third turn. Pattaya Paul and Varuchi Pass collided on the home turn causing Varuchi Pass to pull up.
Varuchi Pass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both gracilis muscles, and sand toe on the left hind foot. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
