Velocity Anifrid and Qatar Girl were slow to begin. Rockin' Bar Lil and Spritely Mac collided on the first turn checking Invictus Ester and Tuiaki Dora. Invictus Ester and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Invictus Ester. Spritely Mac checked off Velocity Anifrid on the first turn. Rockin' Bar Lil and Qatar Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Qatar Girl. Lakeview Grace raced wide approaching the home turn and for the remainder of the event and lost ground. Tuiaki Dora, Invictus Ester and Qatar Girl collided on the home turn. Invictus Ester and Qatar Girl collided entering the home straight.
Lakeview Grace was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
