Steward's Report
Ms. D. White, trainer of Dreamtime Anna declared a new weight of 25.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dreamtime Anna last raced at 27.4kgs.
Hot Spuds, Unwanted Lady and Zipping Tex were slow to begin. Pink Tiara was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Unwanted Lady and Daisy Me Diggin' collided soon after the start checking Unwanted Lady. Unwanted Lady and Dreamtime Anna collided approaching the first turn checking Dreamtime Anna and severely checking Unwanted Lady. Hot Spuds and Coconut Gloria collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Coconut Gloria. Unwanted Lady raced erratically in the home straight.
Coconut Gloria was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left front leg, below the stopper bone. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Unwanted Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms. M. Shaw, the representative of Unwanted Lady regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
