Stewards spoke to Mr Arron Rocke, the trainer of Bushmans Destiny, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bushmans Destiny last raced on 5 March 2018.  Mr Rocke stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a extended spell.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Akathiotis, the trainer of Kid Lavros, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kid Lavros last raced on 22 March 2018.  Mr Akathiotis stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a dislocated back left toe.

Blazin' Bulla was quick to begin.  Kid Lavros was slow to begin.  Cullquin Bronn, Steorra, Gelert and Punch Out collided on the first turn, checking Cullquin Bronn.  Stoerra, Gelert and Cullquin Bronn collided approaching the second turn, severely checking Gelert and Cullquin Bronn.  Miss Malaysia and Kid Lavros collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.
