An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Stevie Jane engaged in this event on 9th July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Blondy Two, at the trainer’s kennel during a kennel visit by Stewards earlier today (10th July 2018).

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Tirchett, the trainer of Mr. Romantic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mr. Romantic last raced on 9th April 2018. Mr Tirchett stated that the greyhound had changed kennel.

Limburg Will was slow to begin.

Mr. Romantic and Coco Bongo collided soon after the start.  Little Fernando checked off Coco Bongo approaching the first turn, brushed the rail and collided with Mr. Romantic.  Smart Sailor, Coco Bongo, Blondy Two and Limburg Will collided on the first turn checking Coco Bongo and Blondy Two.  Mr. Romantic galloped of the heels of Little Fernando, severely checking both greyhounds. Smart Sailor and Coco Bongo checked off Blondy Two entering the home straight causing Smart Sailor and Coco Bongo to race wide.

Little Fernando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Smart Sailor was vetted following event five.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to left hind toe, a 5 day stand down perriod was imposed.

Out of Competition Samples were taken from King Brew, One Brew, My Boy Roman and Spritely Brew engaged in this event on 9th July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

One Brew, My Boy Roman and Spritely Brew were quick to begin.  Hard Man Chapta and Lacarbine were slow to begin.

My Boy Roman checked off King Brew approaching the first turn.  One Brew, My Boy Roman, Spritely Brew and Hard Man Chapta collided on the first turn checking One Brew which collided with Miss Skye High.  One Brew galloped on My Boy Roman checking One Brew which collided heavily with Miss Skye High approaching the home turn.  Lacarabine raced wide on the home turn. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Hard Man Chapta became dislodge during the event.

Miss Skye High was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a thoraco-lumbar injury, a 10 day stand down was imposed.

Elle's Toy was quick to begin.  Montana Fernando and Shimmy Dat Ray were slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Payne upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Giant Jarvis, Dyna Jenaya, Dashing Dyson and Surfside Squids collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Jenaya and Surfside Squids.  Giant Jarvis, Mercedes Red and Gagey's Snags collided on the first turn checking Gagey's Snags.  Dyna Jenaya raced wide on the home turn. Gagey's Snags and Dashing Dyson collided entering the home straight.

Out of Competition Samples were taken from Disco Lemonade and Cruisy's Lil engaged in this event on 9th July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Disco Lemonade was a late scratching at 14:10 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to the left stifle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Loch Mac, Giant Bale and Zebo Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Loch Mac and Giant Bale.  Hardy's Banjo raced wide on the home turn.

Golden Blaze, Mrs. Jawa, Speedway Lass and Adriel collided approaching the first turn checking Golden Blaze and Speedway Lass which collided with Wolf Point.  Mrs. Jawa and Speedway Lass collided on the home turn.  Snippyliss raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Mr R. Brook, kennel representative of Wind Witch declared a new weight of 27.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Wind Witch last raced at 26.5kg.

Kimura went up with the lids at box rise.  Buddie's Al checked off Cawbourne Lambo soon after the start.  Merl's Blaze, Alpanda and Just Audrey collided approaching the first turn checking Alpanda and Just Audrey.  Cawbourne Lambo checked off Kimura approaching the home turn.  Cawbourne Lambo, Alpand and Just Audrey collided approaching the home turn.  Buddie's Al raced wide on the home turn.  Alpanda and Cawbourne Lambo collided entering the home straight.

Newtown Angel checked off Monoak soon after the start.  Daytona Fernando, Lireva and Monaok collided soon after the start checking Monaok.  Misty Warrior, Lireva, Daytona Fernando and Bluey Can Fly collided approaching the first turn checking Daytona Fernando, Misty Warrior and Bluey Can Fly.  Monaok checked off Bluey Can Fly on the first turn.  Dyna Diedre, Bluey Can Fly, Misty Warrior and Daytona Fernando raced wide on the home turn.  Lireva checked off Dyna Diedre in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Avatar Sparkle, at the trainer’s kennel during a kennel visit by Stewards earlier today (10th July 2018).

Jesterday was slow to begin. 

Spring Kitty, Avatar Sparkle and Dum Didee Dum collided approaching the first turn checking Avatar Sparkle and Dum Didee Dum which collided with Jesterday.  Jesterday, Dum Didee Dum and Boof's Banjo collided approaching the home turn.  Dum Didee Dum and Boof's Banjo collided entering the home straight.  Inga Tom and Rapid Rock raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Scott Cosmic.

Agent Osti, Sidevalve and One Mississippi were slow to begin.

One Mississippi, Sidevalve, Mr. No Worries and Agent Osti collided approaching the first turn checking Blue Afro which collided with Sidevalve.  Blue Afro and Mr. No Worries collided several times in the home straight.  Blue Afro checked off Mr. No Worries in the home straight.

Agent Osti was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand toes on the forelimb and hind limb, no stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Turned in Boxes) - I'm Sorry trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 27.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.07,the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 1/2 lengths. I'm Sorry was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Kelly, the trainer of Kynan's Revenge regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kynan's Revenge last raced on 10 January 2018 and returning from an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kynan's Revenge trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.07, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 1/4 lengths. Kynan's Revenge was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Please Stand Up trialled over the 400mtrs from box 4, weight 26.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.07,the greyhound won by a margin of 3/4 lengths.  Please Stand Up was Cleared.
