Stewards spoke to Mr David Plant, the trainer of Miss Cheekiness, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Cheekiness last raced on 18 March 2018. Mr Plant stated that the greyhound had sustained a right hamstring injury.
Mississippi Lane was slow to begin.
Kip Moss and Smart Bella collided soon after the start. Kip Moss, Smart Bella and Doran's Flame collided at the 300m mark, checking Smart Bella and Doran's Flame. Blazin' Bulla checked off Attack Plan at the 200m mark. Blazin' Bulla and Miss Cheekiness collided at the 150m mark, checking Blazin' Bulla.
