Steward's Report
Three Soldiers was quick to begin. Piper's Unicorn, Darren Allen and Black Zambesi collided soon after the start, checking Black Zambesi. Almani Tee Rex and Piper's Unicorn collided approaching the first turn, checking Piper's Unicorn. Black Zambesi checked off Darren Allen on the first turn. Almani Tee Rex and Darren Allen collided approaching the home turn, checking Darren Allen. Piper's Unicorn raced wide on the home turn. Three Soldiers tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Piper's Unicorn was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right metatarsals, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr T. Boehmke, the trainer of the greyhound Piper's Unicorn. Stewards deemed the performance of Piper's Unicorn unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Piper's Unicorn must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
