Steward's Report

Lilywhites was quick to begin.

Hedonistic and Lindy Bop collided soon after the start checking Hedonistic. Lady Christina and Mowgli collided soon after the start checking Mowgli. Golden Gem, Pandora's Proof, Lady Christina and Lindy Bop collided soon after the start checking Lindy Bop, Mowgli, Lady Christina and Pandora's Proof. Pandora's Proof, Mowgli and Miss Congenial collided approaching the second turn checking Miss Congenial. Lady Christina galloped on the heels of Lilywhites on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Miss Congenial and Hedonistic collided approaching the winning post checking Hedonistic.

Miss Congenial was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Geoffrey Williamson regarding the racing incident approaching the second turn. After viewing the official replays and taking evidence from Mr Williamson Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied to the required standard, as no head vision was available, that Miss Congenial had eased approaching the second turn free of interference and as such took no further action.
