Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Leitch, the trainer of Kiewa Cowboy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kiewa Cowboy last raced on 7th December 2017. Mr. Leitch stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from a right shoulder injury.
Kiewa Cowboy, Poppy Yaala and Zambora Lord were quick to begin.
Downhill and Classy Vanda collided soon after the start checking Classy Vanda. Zambora Lord, Poppy Yaala and Kiewa Cowboy collided approaching the first turn checking Poppy Yaala and severely checking Kiewa Cowboy. Murrabit Sammy and Zambora Lord collided on the first turn checking Zambora Lord. Zambora Lord, Poppy Yaala and Murrabit Sammy collided approaching the home turn checking Poppy Yaala and Murrabit Sammy. Militant Mack raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Kiewa Cowboy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
