All Inn Together and Mikey Wires collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Mikey Wires checked off Chillby approaching the first turn. Jack's Pick and Chillby collided on the first turn severely checking Chillby. Mikey Wires checked off All Inn Together on the first turn. Bellachino checked off Scott It on the first turn checking Proven Snow. Mikey Wires checked off Chillby on the home turn severely checking Chillby which stumbled as a result.
Chillby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury and a spike wound to its left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
