Stewards spoke to Mr. William McMahon, the representative for Tolga regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tolga last raced on 7 November, 2017 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel. 

Just Won Lotto was slow to begin.  Tolga crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Crucial Conflict and Destiny's Child.  Crucial Conflict, Destiny's Child, Misload and One More Light collided on the first turn checking Misload.  Hurricane Craig and Peaked collided approaching the second turn checking Peaked, Destiny's Child and Misload.  Just Won Lotto galloped on Destiny's Child on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Crucial Conflict, Just Won Lotto and Destiny's Child collided approaching the home turn.

Wy Yung Floods crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Trumpeter checking both greyhounds.  Shrek's Tales was checked off Wy Yung Floods on the first turn.  Shrek's Tales galloped on Blue Regis on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.

Shrek's Tales was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Moles the trainer of the greyhound Shrek's Tales.  Stewards deemed the performance of Shrek's Tales unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Shrek's Tales must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Halle was slow to begin.  Apila Cash and Killara John collided soon after the start.  Apila Cash was checked off Killara John on the first turn severely checking Queen Of Sprite and Beanology, Apila Cash lost ground as a result.  Misty's Boy and Iona Misty collided entering the back straight checking Iona Misty, Iona Misty collided with Aston Halle as a result.  Apila Cash and Queen Of Sprite collided entering the back straight checking Queen Of Sprite.  Iona Misty and Aston Halle collided on the second turn checking Apila Cash, Queen Of Sprite and Aston Halle and severely checking Iona Misty.  Misty's Boy and Killara John collided on the home turn causing Killara John to check off Ninetymile Hawk.  Queen Of Sprite was checked off Apila Cash approaching the winning post.

Dyna Quarter was a late scratching at 2.22pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. Michael Ferguson was fined the sum of $100.

Rasleigh Banser was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound showed a very mild pain response to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Damage was quick to begin.  Gone Early, Gotcha Mate and Senorita Pepe collided soon after the start.  Will Dazzle and Gone Early collided on the first turn.  Senorita Pepe crossed in on the first turn and collided with Will Dazzle checking Senorita Pepe and severely checking Gotcha Mate and Hello Nimble.

Senorita Pepe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle and abrasions to the left and right hind toe.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiny Dreamer and Morta Bella collided soon after the start.  Dr. Kestrel and Dr. Watson collided on the first turn.  Ends Well and Machiko collided on the first turn.  Tiny Dreamer and Morta Bella collided on the first turn checking Morta Bella.  Dr. Kestrel and Machiko collided on the second turn checking Machiko.  Tiny Dreamer was checked off Machiko on the third turn.  Jett Zafonic and Dr. Kestrel collided approaching the winning post.

Tiny Dreamer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hock and a small abrasion between the toes on the right hind foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Morta Bella was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right quadriceps and a laceration to the right front foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Blake the representative for the greyhound Morta Bella.  Stewards deemed the performance of Morta Bella unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Morta Bella must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Dr. Kestrel - winner of the event.

Mrs. S. Chignell trainer of Cookie Rose declared a new weight of 29.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Cookie Rose last raced at 30.8kg.

Artistic Alyssa was slow to begin.  Iroquois Souljah, Bossy Caleb, Here's The Trump, Black Bindi, Phil's In Luck and Cookie Rose collided on the first turn causing Bossy Caleb to gallop on Black Bindi, Bossy Caleb fell as a result checking Cookie Rose and Phil's In Luck and severely checking Here's The Trump, Black Bindi and Artistic Alyssa.  Phil's In Luck was checked off Iroquois Souljah approaching the second turn.  Here's The Trump and Black Bindi collided on the second turn checking Black Bindi.

Bossy Caleb was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected dislocaction to the left shoulder joint, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Dark Star was quick to begin.  Malick was slow to begin.  Our Echo Rose and Need A Zac collided soon after the start.  Wolf Point, Stella Story and Dark Origins collided soon after the start checking Wolf Point and Stella Story.  Malick, Long Live Sid and Need A Zac collided on the first turn.  Dark Star raced wide on the second turn and collided with Our Echo Rose.

Annie Bell was a late scratching at 2.25pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Douglas Evans, the trainer of Penninsula Panda regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Peninsula Panda last raced on 22 October, 2017 and is returning to racing following a spell.

Zipping Tina was quick to begin.  Dr. Oliver, Dr. Poppel and Rusty Mia collided soon after the start.  Peninsula Panda and Middle Trucker collided on the first turn checking Middle Trucker.  Zipping Tina and Able Bess collided on the first turn.  Able Bess and Rusty Mia collided on the second turn causing Peninsula Panda to gallop on Able Bess checking Able Bess, Middle Trucker and Zipping Tina, causing Peninsula Panda to fall.

Peninsula Panda was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, right back muscle and left quadriceps muscle, a 7 day stand down peirod was imposed.

Tricky Trey was quick to begin.  Tricky Trey crossed in soon after the start causing Quedos, Phillip Keeping and Rosacky Blitz to collide checking Quedos.  Zafonic Express and Brindle Ninja collided approaching the first turn checking Zafonic Ezpress; Zafonic Express collided with Daisy Patch as a result.  Rosacky Blitz and Tricky Trey collided on the first turn.  Quedos clipped the heels of Phillip Keeping approaching the home turn and collided with Five Lights; Quedos lost ground as a result. 

Quedos was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Jetmag Storm and Ninetymile Holly were slow to begin.  Legal and Eagle Princess collided on the first turn.  Fairy Where and Enchanting Image collided on the first turn.  Legal and Eagle Princess collided on the first turn severely checking Eagle Princess.  Fairy Where galloped on Enchanting Image on the first turn checking Enchanting Image.

Eagle Princess was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Zipping Todd trialled over 315 metres from box 5, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 18.10 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.75 lengths.  Zipping Tod was cleared.

Zulu Zoe trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 28.1kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 18.10 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18.75 lenths.  Zulu Zoe was not cleared.

Midnight Marzy trialled over 315 metres from box 7, weight 28.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 18.10 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lenghts.  Midnight Marzy was cleared.

Allen Quintus trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 34.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 18.10 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 6 lengths.  Allen Quintus was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Farley the trainer of Rubrica regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Rubrica last raced on 11 January 2017.  Mr. Farley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following multiple injuries and a seasonal spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Rubrica trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 28.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.10 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  Rubrica was cleared.
